Wieger was raised outside Amsterdam in an entrepreneurial family, gaining invaluable early exposure to the European tech ecosystem. Growing up, he had a front-row seat to Adyen’s remarkable journey, watching the company scale from a 12-person team to one of Europe’s most defining IPOs.

During his studies, Wieger interviewed over 300 immigrant founders globally, diving deep into the link between early adversity and entrepreneurial success. Before his current role, he honed his venture experience at Valia Ventures and led early-stage operations at Unlock (Antler), which was subsequently acquired.

Based in London, Wieger is an investor and the EMEA & Platforms Lead at Sunshine Lake, where he lives at the intersection of European tech and entrepreneurship. In his spare time, he is an avid follower of Dutch history and a dedicated supporter of AFC Ajax.
